Those who oppose abortion should be in support of every effort to avoid an unwanted pregnancy in the first place. Yet it is too often the staunch abortion foes who ironically espouse "abstinence only" education, which only keeps young people uneducated and in the dark on the most fundamental facts of life, and which too often leads to an unwanted pregnancy. If you TRULY oppose abortion, you would support every effort to support and encourage responsible sex education of our young people (both in the classroom AND in the home... parents: it's YOUR responsibility!). While making abortion illegal may satisfy the radical fringes of our society, such laws will do nothing to stop it. Support responsible sex education of our youth in school AND in the home.

Dee, voting Republican is pro war, pro death penalty, pro guns, anti a woman's right to equal pay for equal work and anti universal health care. Wher is your outrage when a child is born to a woman and she can't afford health care. Some of the most giving, loving, Christian people I know are Democrats who believe they have enough but want to see the life of others improve. John McCain said in a speech if you elect them "Democrats" they'll take/give away all your money. Well even if it is true the bible says it is better to give than to receive. When is the last time a Republican actually gave something?

P.S. You forgot the kids in Iraq who have been killed by collateral damage. God cares for them too!! Hummmm, something to think about.

You are right, there are thousands of children murdered every year and this is a crime that can't be stopped. Not, as you think, by abortion, but by parents who never wanted the children and beat and kill their kids to get rid of them. I would much prefer that birth control and sex education were prevalent enough that we could erase those stats forever. What do you think is more painful - a procedure or dying a long, torturous death, mitigated by the feeling that you are worthless and no one loves you. But you are pro-life and Sarah Palin is nothing if not pro-life, maybe a little too pro-life. How long before I will be paying to sustain her daughter's choices when the inexperienced and uneducated boyfriend goes on unemployment?
